Jn 21:8b ... for they-were not far from the land, ...

The 2nd phrase has these 7 narrator words, ... ou gar ēsan makran apo tēs gēs (not for they-were far from the land, ... ).

The 1st phrase above the diagram is in English word order. In the diagram, the 7 narrator words, in Greek word order, are top down tangent to Simon's 6 disciples in the little boat and to Simon inside his outer garment. Other than 7 different words, this diagram is identical to 8a. The narrator will tell us how far the boat was from land in the next phrase.
