The first two words of John 21:1 are "Meta tauta" (after these-things). These 2 words, when added to the 57 words of John 20:29-31 create the Sign of Books, the same sign that ends John's 21st chapter ... "After these things, Says to him the Jesus, "Because you have seen me have you believed? Blessed [are] the ones not having seen and having believed. / Many indeed therefore also other signs did the Jesus before the disciples of him, which not is written in to the book this. / These things but have been written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And that believing, Life you may have in the name of him." The 3 verses were written by the Beloved Disciple. The 16 words of verse 29 from Jesus to Doubting Thomas (the Twin) about 'believing' lie over the border of 3 books in the sign of a hexagon. The 20 words of verse 30 says Jesus did many signs, but none were written in 'this second book.' This statement is true, the 20 words only form part of a sign. Verse 31 says 'these things' (signs) have been written that you would believe. The diagram shows the union of the 3 books form a hexagram. The 43 words of verses 30 and 31 then completely fill this hexagram from the bottom up. That is a sign! Jn 20:31 < Verses > Jn 21:01b |
