Jn 1:49a ... Answered to him Nathanael, ... "Rabbi, you are the Son of God."

Verse 49 has two short sentences of 15 words that records what Nathanael said to Jesus. The Hebrew name Nathanael means "gift of God." The first sentence has these 3 narrator and 7 dialog words that Nathanael says to Jesus in this order ... apekrithē autō nathanaēl, ... "rabbi, su ei ho uios tou theou" (Answered to him Nathanael, ... "Rabbi, you are the Son of God").

Diagram 1: The two diagrams show the 3 narrator words and the 7 dialog words spoken by Nathanael. This diagram shows two signs: The Trinity and Nathanael. The first 3 words "Answered to him Nathanael, ..." are top down so that the name Nathanael is tangent to the mouth of the person who is speaking to Jesus, the first person of the Trinity. The two words "apekrithē autō" (answered to him) refers to Jesus, the first of three persons in one.

Diagram 2: The 7 dialog words are bottom up. This diagram shows five signs: The Holy Spirit, the Father, Jesus the Son, the title Rabbi, and the face of Nathanael. The five words "Rabbi, su ei ho Uios" (Rabbi, you are the Son) are tangent to the Star of David holding Jesus. The last two words, "tou Theou" (of God ), is tangent to the sides of the Holy Spirit holding "God the Father." The sign for a "Rabbi" is the blue Star of David; the sign of the "Son" is Jesus inside the sign of the Rabbi which must be directly under God the Father; the sign of God the Father and the Holy Spirit occupy the white triangle above the Rabbi; the face of Nathanael is the fifth sign. The 7 words are tangent to all 5 signs.
