Jn 1:38a ... Having turned yet the Jesus, and having seen them following, he says to them, ... "What do you seek?" ...

Verse 38 has 23 words. The first diagram has 10 narrator and 2 dialog words ... Strafeis de ho Iēsous, kai theasamenos autous akolouthountas, legei autois, ... "Ti zēteite" (Having turned yet the Jesus, and having seen them following, he says to them, ... "What do you seek?").

The first phrase has these 4 words ... "Strafeis de ho Iēsous" (Having turned yet the Jesus) which is internally tangent to the rhombus holding Jesus. John isn't mentioned so he doesn't need to appear. As you can see, Jesus himself has not turned. Therefore, look for something that has. The next 2 narrator words "and having seen" is in line with the eyes of Jesus. The next 4 words "them following he says to them" are tangent to the body of Jesus ending tangent to the triangles holding the two disciples. The 2 words "Having turned yet" were in line with the 2 disciples in verse 37b. In this verse the disciples haves moved up and turned left and right 90 degrees. The two disciples are the ones who have turned. That leaves the 2 dialog words, "Ti zēteite" (What do you seek?) which is tangent to Jesus and the two triangles holding the two disciples.
