Verse 35 has three phrases containing these 12 gospel text words ... Tē epaurion, palin eistēkei ho Iōannēs, kai ek tōn mathētōn autou duo (On the next day, again stood the John, and of the disciples of him two). The 6 words of phrases 1 and 2 are bottom up from the center. The 6 words of phrase 3 are bottom up from the bottom. The words "Tē epaurion" are tangent to the image of "tomorrow, the next day." The word "epaurion" (next day) also refers to the earlier mention of John being on that "day" in Jn 1:29. The words "palin eistēkei ho Iōannēs" are tangent to the image of "John standing." The words "tōn mathētōn autou duo" are tangent to the image of "John's two disciples." The diagram shows John standing "today" at the bottom of the diagram based on where he was last seen in diagram 34b. The diagram then shows "John again standing" on the "next day," where he will be standing at the top of the diagram tomorrow. The play on words (double entendre) in this verse agrees with the imagry in this diagram. |
