Verse 3 has 2 phrases containing 4 narrator and 10 dialog words. The 1st and 2nd phrases have these 14 words ... Kai elegon pros eautas, Tis apokulisei hēmin, ton lithon ek tēs thuras tou mnēmeiou (And they-were-saying to themselves, ... "Who will-roll-away for-us the stone from the door of-the tomb"). This verse is a flashback to what the women were saying to themselves before they came upon (epi) the tomb. The 4 words said by the narrator and the 10 dialog words said by the women are bottom up, out to in, from the women looking up to the top of the tomb. The 10 dialog words just happen to be the correct number to fill the silhouette of the tomb. The word "hēmin" (for-us) is tangent to and congruent to the 3 women. The 2 words "ton lithon" (the stone) are tangent to the stone they imagined was blocking "the door" of the tomb. 16:2c < Verse > 16:3b |
