The 2nd through 4th phrases have the following 12 narrator words ... Maria ē Magdalēnē kai Maria ē tou Iakōbou kai Salōmē ēgorasan arōmata (Mary the Magdelene, and Mary the one of James, and Salome bought spices, ...). The 12 words are bottom up. The diagram shows the three woman immediately after they bought "arōmata" (spices mixed in oil), an alabaster of perfume, similar to the earlier myrrh he was anointed with or in the wine he was offered (Mk 14:03, 16:23). It is now completely dark outside. The woman are carrying the spices on their collective heads. Although James is mentioned he is not present and does not need to be appear on the diagram.
