The third and fourth phrases have these 5 narrator and 2 dialog words ... Ho de apokritheis autō legei, Su legeis (The yet having answered to him, he says, "You yourself say"). The 7 narrator words "Ho de apokritheis autō legei" (The yet having answered to him, he says, ...) are bottom up. The word apokritheis (having answered) comes from apo (away) and krinó (to judge). The text says the answer from Jesus is like what Pilate is doing to him, judging from a distance rather than giving an answer. The previous diagram shows Pilate, a Roman, making judgment over Jesus, that he was the "King of the Jews." Jesus was spiritually the King but not physically. Ironically, the text and diagram both say Jesus is also making judgment here. |
