Verse 23 has 4 phrases and 11 text words. The first three phrases have these 6 words ... Kai labon poterion, euxaristesas, edoken autois (And having taken a cup, having given grace, he gave (it) to them, ... ). The 6 words are bottom up. The text says Jesus took a poterion (a drinking cup). This is a drawing instruction to transfigure the upper room into a cup by changing it's colors. Jesus then gave "thanks" (eucharistesas), which comes from eu (good) and charis (grace). The sign for this abstract noun is a white triangle. After Jesus gave the disciples the bread (his body), he was perfectly positioned to take a cup, take grace, and then hand them the cup. 14:22d < Verses > 14:23b |
