Verse 18 has 5 phrases containing 21 words. The first phrase has these 5 words ... Kai anakeimenōn autōn kai esthiontōn (And of lying back of them and of eating, ...).

The 5 words are drawn from the outside to the center. This phrase is a drawing instruction. The disciples have to "lye back" in groups of four to eat the passover triangles with their lips tangent to the base or sides of the equilateral triangles. The pronoun "autōn" (of them) does not include Jesus who is temporarily out of view.
