The fifth phrase has these 4 words ... ho esthiōn met emou ("the one eating with me"). The 4 words are bottom up. This text is tricky in how it can be interpreted. If the story was historical, Jesus would be eating with Judas and the other eleven. If the text is a commentary on gematria diagrams, the two words "ho esthiōn" (the one eating) is tangent to the passover holding Judas inside. The words "met emou" (with me) is tangent to Jesus which shows Jesus is standing next to the passover and Judas but Jesus is "not eating with Judas." 14:18c < Verses > 14:19a |
