Mk 14:16a ... And the disciples went out, and they came into the city, ...

Verse 16 has 4 phrases containing 18 text words. The first two phrases have these 9 words ... Kai eksēlthon hoi mathētai kai ēlthon eis tēn polin (And went out the disciples, and they came into the city, ...).

The 9 words are top down. The ten disciples presumably "went out" of the house of Simon the Leper and down from the mount overlooking Jerusalem. The last three words "eis tēn polin" (into the city) are tangent to "the city." The diagram shows all twelve disciples rising from the city.
