Verse 4 has two phrases containing 14 dialog words. The first phrase has these 5 dialog words ... Eipon hēmin pote tauta estai ("Tell us when these (things) will be, ..."). The 5 dialog words are bottom up. The disciples are asking when the stones of the temple will be thrown down. The sign of a "stone" is also the sign of their understood word, a "thing." The sign of "two things" joined by the base in the form of a rhombus is the sign of "a sign." The word "tauta" (these things) is tangent to the side of "a sign." But Simon doesn't know "pote" (when). 13:3b < Verses > 13:4b |
