| 12:28 |
And one of the scribes, having come before (him), having heard
them debating ... |
| |
having seen
that he answered them ideally asked him, ... |
| |
"Which is (the) precept first of all?" |
| 12:29 |
Answered the Jesus that, ... "(The) first is, Hear (O) Israel, (the) Lord
our God is One Lord." |
| 12:30 |
"And you
shall love the Lord our God out of your whole heart, ..."
|
| |
"and out
of your whole soul, ..." |
| |
"and out
through your whole mind, ..." |
| |
"and out
of your whole strength." |
| 12:31 |
"Second
to it, you should
love your neighbor as yourself,
..." |
| |
"There
is not another precept greater than these." |
| 12:32 |
And the
scribe said to him, ... |
| |
"Ideal, Teacher! ... Upon truth you said that He is one, ..." |
| |
"and there is not another more than him." |
| 12:33 |
"And to love him out of the whole heart, ..." |
| |
"and out of the whole understanding, and out of the whole strength, ..." |
| |
"and to love the neighbor as himself, ..." |
| |
"is ~ greater (than) all the holocausts and sacrifices." |
| 12:34 |
And the Jesus having seen that wisely he answered said to him, ... |
| |
"You are not far from the Kingdom of God." |
| |
And nobody anymore dared to question him. |
