The fifth phrase has these 5 dialog words, ... "kai meta treis hēmeras anastēsetai" ("And 'after three days' he will up-stand"). The 5 dialog words are top down. The 5 words are tangent to the stake of the cross. The 4 words "kai meta treis hēmeras" (and after three days) is a prophesy of how long, simply meaning what it says, "three days." The single word "anastēsetai" (up he will stand) is a prophesy that Jesus will rise from the dead. The diagram shows a bearded Jesus, as a man in his thirties, and another Jesus, as a youth too young to grow a beard. Mark 16 will show that after "three days" in the tomb, Jesus will come back as a youth, a sign of his eternally young and strong glorified body. Jesus will offer this miracle to everyone who simply believes what the gospel says. 10:34d < Verses > 10:35a |
