The 4th and 5th phrases have these 9 dialog words, ... "kai katakrinousin auton thanatō, kai paradōsousin auton tois ethnesin" ["And they will condemn him (down) to death, and they will give him to the nations"]. The 9 dialog words are bottom up clockwise. The first 4 clockwise dialog words held by the extended hands of Jesus start top right and end top left on the 2 words "kai thanatō" (and, to-death). The next 5 clockwise dialog words start top left and end top right thru the 3 words "kai, auton, ethnesin" (and, him, nations); tangent to a Roman soldier on the left, then to "auton" (him = Jesus) tangent to a hypothetical Jesus inside the sign of "death," then to another Roman soldier on the right. The diagram shows the chief priests and scribes above him who conspired to have him condemned to death. Jesus is in the docks "standing down on" the sign of "death." The imaginary Romans are off to the sides who will later carry out the sentence of death. But nothing would happen without the conspiracy and money from the priests, scribes, and elders. The verb "katakrinousin," comes from "kata" (down) and "krino" (to judge), ie "condemn." 10:33b < Verses > 10:34a |
