The fourth phrase has these 2 dialog words, ... "kai apoktenousin, ..." ["and they will kill (him)"]. The 2 dialog words are top down. The gospel text was composed with it's tool-kit of signs and words to easily construct these diagrams! The author only needed 2 words to tell his readers the Roman soldiers would kill Jesus by crucifixion. That information was already known by simply reading the entire gospel. Simply inscribe lines tangent to the head of Jesus and tangent to the inside the hexagram to construct a cross. Since the word "him" is understood there was no need for Mark to write it into his gospel text. The diagram shows only four soldiers and a centurian are needed to crucify Jesus and then later to see him die (Mk 15:24-37). 10:34c < Verses > 10:34e |
