Verse 35 has six phrases and 20 words. The first three phrases contain these 11 narrator words, ... Kai prosporeuontai autōi, Iakōbos kai Iōannēs, hoi huioi Zebedaiou legontes autōi (And approached him, James and John, the sons of Zebedee saying to him, ... ). The 11 narrator words are bottom up. The first 6 words "Kai prosporeuontai autōi, Iakōbos kai Iōannēs, ..." (And approached him James and John, ...) are exactly tangent to James, John, and their father. The 5 words "hoi huioi Zebedaiou legontes autō" (the sons of Zebedee saying to him) are tangent to the three Zebedees, the 5 narrator words, and the triangle holding Jesus. 10:34e < Verses > 10:35b |
