Mk 6:26a ... And the king having-become enclosed-in-grief because-of the promise, ...

Verse 26 has 3 phrases and 15 narrator words. The 1st phrase has these 8 narrator words, ... Kai perilupos gegomenos ho basileus dia tous horkous (And enclosed-in-grief having-become the king because-of the promise, ...).

The 8 narrator words are top down. The 5 words "Kai perilupos gegomenos ho basileus" (And having become enclosed in grief the king) are tangent to the 3 purple triangles of 'grief' enclosing 'the king.' The 3 words "dia tous horkous" (because of the promise) are tangent to the six green triangles that represent half of his kingdom the king promised in verse 23: "dōsō soi eōs ēmisous tēs basileias mou" (I will give to you up to half of the kingdom of me). The king is now filled with grief directed at himself because he now realizes how foolish he was to make such a solemn promise to his step-daughter.
