Mk 6:14a ... And the King Herod heard, for well-known became the name of-him.

Verse 14 has 5 phrases and 28 words. The 1st and 2nd phrases have these 11 narrator words, ... Kai ēkousen ho basileus Hērōdēs, faneron gar egeneto to onoma autou (And heard the King Herod, well-known for became the name of-him, ...).

The 11 narrator words are top down. The 2 words "ho basileus" are tangent to the ears of "the king." The name "Hērōdēs" is tangent to the head of "Herod" (Antipas), tetrarch of Galilee and Peraea, husband of Herodias, who was a tetrarch, not a king. The Greek text doesn't give "the name of him," but by the context of the previous story, the name Jesus is apparent (phaneros), even though he wasn't with "the Twelve" when he sent them out "two by two" on their mission.
