The 2nd phrase has these 5 narrator words ... hote Hērōdēs tois genesiois autou (when Herod to-the birthday-celebrations of-him, ...).

The 5 narrator words are clockwise, starting top left. The name "Hērōdēs" is tangent to Herod. The four words "hote tois genesiois autou" (dative plural, when to the birthdays of him) which is tangent to the rhombus above and below holding Herold and his basket of food. Herod Antipas was born sometime around 20-21 BC and the events in this gospel are dated about 30 AD. Perhaps Herod was celebrating his 50th birthday.
