The 3rd and 4th phrases have these 5 dialog words ... kai legeis, tis mou hēpsato ("and you-say, 'Who me touched' ")? The 5 words said by the disciples are top down. The 3 words said by Jesus are bottom up. The three Greek words "tis mou hēpsato" (who touched me) are shown twice in the above diagram. The first time the 3 words are tangent to Jesus and the crowd because the disciples said it. The second time the 3 words are tangent to Jesus and the woman. The word "tis" (who) is tangent to the woman. But Jesus knows the difference between an accidental bump from the crowd and a purposely made touch to his garments by the woman. 5:31b < Verses > 5:32 |
