Verse 21 has 3 phrases and 21 narrator words. The first phrase has these 11 words, ... Kai diaperasantos tou Iēsou en tō ploiō palin eis to peran (And passing-through of-the Jesus in the boat again into the other-side, ... ). The first 4 narrator words are bottom up, the next 7 are top down the center. The previous verse saw Jesus passing out through the background in his boat. This verse now says that "Jesus is "passing-through in his boat again" into the foreground, into a new parable. We already know Jesus crosses the sea with his disciples in his own "little boat" (Mark 4:35). The diagram shows the large boat is also "passing-through" into this new story. The location and the imagery of the words matches the imagery and signs on the diagram! 5:20c < Verses > 5:21b |
