| 1a - 14d | 15a 15b 15c | 16a 16b 16c | 17 | 18a 18b | 19a 19b 19c 19d | 20a 20b 20c | Mk 5:17 ... And they began to call beside him to leave from their region.
Verse 17 contains the following 9 narrator words, ... Kai ērksanto parakalein auton apelthein apo tōn oriōn autōn (And they began to call beside him to leave from the region of them). The 9 words are bottom up. The words "Kai ērksanto parakalein" (And they began to call beside) is tangent to the two men from the city and the two from the farm fields. It means there is more to follow. The five word command apelthein apo tōn oriōn autōn (to leave from the region of them) completely brackets Jesus and it's reflection is tangent to the entire mountain region that belongs to the citizens of the Dekopolis. 5:16c < Verse > 5:18a |
