Mark 5:16c
| 1a - 14d | 15a 15b 15c | 16a 16b 16c | 17 | 18a 18b | 19a 19b 19c 19d | 20a 20b 20c | Mk 5:16c ... and about the pigs.
The third phrase has these 4 narrator words ... kai peri tōn choirōn (and about the pigs). The 4 narrator words are top-down. The text has the perfect opportunity to tell the reader it was the pigs that were choked, not the Unclean Spirits. Instead, the author of this parable allows the reader to draw the incorrect conclusion. The 2 words "tōn choirōn" (the pigs) are tangent to the sea that holds 4 pigs (Roman soldiers) infected with a Legion of many thousands of Unclean Spirits. The pigs baptized in the water lived and "about 2000" of Unclean Spirits choked by the sea were drowned. 5:16b < Verse > 5:17 |
