Verse 16 has three phrases and 13 narrator words. The first phrase contains these 3 words ... kai diēgēsanto autois (And they described to them, ...). The 3 narrator words are top-down. Verse 16 is a flashback to what happened in verse 13, how Jesus exorcised the demoniac, and what really happened to the pigs and about 2000 Unclean Spirits that rushed down the slope into the sea. The words "kai diēgēsanto" (and they described) lie next to the three swineherds. They are the ones who saw what happened. The pronoun autois (to them) lies next to the four men from the city and farms who came to see what happened to the demoniac. 5:15c < Verse > 5:16b |
