Mk 5:1a ... And they-came into 'the other-side of-the sea,' ...

Verse 1 has three phrases containing 12 narrator words. The first phrase has these 7 words ... Kai ēlthen eis to peran tēs thalassēs (And they came into the other side of the sea, ...)

The 7 narrator words are bottom up. The first 3 words "Kai ēlthen eis" (And they came into) is tangent to the disciple's boat which is now docked 'on the land' instead of 'in the sea.' After calming the wind and the waves (Mk 4:35-41), the boat of Jesus also comes from the sea to the 'other side,' meaning 'the land.' The next 2 words "to peran" (the other side) of course, is tangent to 'the land.' The last 2 words "tēs thalassēs" (of the sea) is tangent to the sea, the place from which they came.
