Mk 3:21b ... for they-were-saying ... "that he-is-out-beside himself."

The 3rd and 4th phrases have these two narrator and two dialog words ... elegon gar, ... "hoti eksestē" (for they-were-saying ... "that he-is-out-beside himself.").

The 2 narrator and 2 dialog words are top down. From the diagram, we can see Jesus is standing in place of the bread. The word "exestē," from ek (out) and histaymee (to place or to stand up), is a colloquial expression meaning "he is out beside himself." At first this seems to harmonize with what the scribes will soon say about him. It is also an observation on the diagram that matches the text. The diagram shows two images of Jesus! The Jesus who is standing is now "beside himself" as a "stand in" for a basket of bread. This will later be confirmed at the last supper when Jesus will tell his disciples to "take (the bread), this is my body" (Mk14:22).
