Jn 21:7a ... Says therefore the disciple, that-one whom the Jesus was-loving, ...

gematria value of the above words in red = 2,740 units

Verse 7 has 9 phrases and 34 words. The 1st and 2nd phrases have these 9 narrator words ... Legei oun ho mathētēs, ekeinos hon ēgapa ho Iēsous (Says therefore the disciple, that-one whom was-loving the Jesus, ...).

The 9 narrator words of the 1st and 2nd phrase are bottom up. The focus now shifts from "fish" to the mysterious but unnamed "beloved disciple." The 2 words ho Iēsous (the Jesus) are nominative (the subject of a sentence, Jesus is doing the action, loving the disciple). In Greek, the nominative can be placed anywhere. In English, the subject goes before the verb (the predicate). The above words are red because the gematria value the 14 words in 7a and 7b form a puzzle that reveals the name of the beloved disciple.
