Jn 5:13b ... for the Jesus slipped out, a crowd being in the place.

The 2nd and 3rd phrases contain these 9 narrator words ... ho gar Iēsous ekseneusen, oxlou ontos en tō topō (The for Jesus slipped out, a crowd being in the place).

The 9 words are top down. This part of the verse is a flash-back as to why Jesus had to depart from diagrams 5:9b-c due to lack of room. Verse 5:9 did not mention the crowd by the pool because this verse does. The gospel assumes the reader knows all the verses. If you didn't wholly understand the gospel the first time you read it, maybe you will by the second, third or more times you do. The sparse gospel text never mentions many details that could better explain the what, where, who, and why. One always has to use imagination and logic to fill in the blanks. The text above the diagram is in English word order.
