The 2nd phrase has these 2 narrator and 2 dialog words ... legontes hoti fantasma estin (saying that "a phantom it is,"...). The 4 words are bottom up, out to in. The dark 4th watch has the same sign as an Unclean Spirit, a Phantom in the night. The other three "watches," moving to the opposite side of the sea, away from the "phantom," now have the same signs as the abstract Greek noun "fobos" (fear). Even the disciples have moved to the top of the boat to be as far away as possible from the phantom. The diagram shows the disciples crying out the circles of two Greek words, "phantasma estin," meaning "it is a phantom"! Jesus "walked around," from the fourth watch for a good reason. Like a phantom, he can now appear anywhere. Matt 14:26a < Verses > Matt 14:26c |
