| 12a 12b | 13a 13b | 14a 14b | 15a 15b | 16a 16b 16c | Mk 14:15b ... "and there prepare (the passover) to us."
The 2nd and last phrase of verse 15 has these 4 dialog words, ... kai ekei hetoimasate hēmin (and there prepare to us). The 4 (imperative tense) dialog words are tangent to the 3 triangles holding Jesus, Simon, and John. This verse concludes the instructions Jesus gave to Simon and John. The unspoken object of the verb "prepare" is "the passover," which by necessity is a rhombus needed to hold the basket and its bread. The last word, "hēmin" (to us), is translated in English bibles as "for us" (to sound correct to English ears) refers to Simon and John. The original passover meal was unraised bread after the blood of a sacrificed lamb was painted over the door of Jewish houses. The diagram shows Jesus, the Teacher (the sacrificed lamb) standing over the door of Simon the Leper's house in Bethany. The same diagram shows Jesus as the house-ruler acting as the host standing over the large upper guest room in Jerusalem holding Simon and John who are instructed to "prepare" (the passover). Since Jesus is superimposed over two houses at once, the word "there" in Bethany means "in Jerusalem." But the word "there" in Jerusalem means "here in the upper room." The paradox will be resolved in the next verse (16c). |
