The 3rd phrase has these 7 narrator words, ... Kai ho polus oxlos ēkouen autou ēdeōs (And the large crowd was listening to him gladly). The 7 narrator words are bottom up. Diagram 35b showed the 2 words (son of-David) coming from the Scribes were tangent to the image of Christ (1480). But for Christ to be the son of David, he had to be drawn directly below him. Diagram 35b contradicted the imagery of the text. Diagram 37a however shows Jesus is the Son of God, not the Son of David. The crowd was listening gladly because Jesus caught the scribes saying something that was not 100% true. Jesus may have been descended from David, but he was not his son. 12:37a < Verses > 12:38a |
