Parable: The Scribes say the Messiah
is a Son of David
The Dilema of Psalm 110: The Jews believed Psalm 110 was written by King David. Psalm 110 was a prophesy that King David would be an ancestor of the Messiah, and this man would be a great military leader who would defeat all their enemies. So how could David say the Messiah would be his Son and his Lord? The gematria answer to this question would reveal the identity and authority of Jesus Christ. The answer was that Jesus was the Son of God and a descendent of David. The Temple leaders refused to accept this answer and that is why they wanted to kill him. They would succeed and everything that subsequently occurred was prophesied beforehand in their own scriptures!

Story
The setting: Jesus is still in the temple. After confronting and silencing all of his enemies, Jesus teaches a crowd about what the scribes say about the Messiah.
