Mk 12:36a ... "Himself David in the Holy Spirit, "Said (the) Lord to the Lord of me, "sit out right of me, ..."""

mk12v36a

Verse 36 has 4 phrases containing 27 dialog words. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd phrases have these 17 dialog words, ... Autos Dauid eipen en tō pneumati tō hagiō, Eipen kurios tō kuriō mou, kathou ek deksion mou, ["Himself David said in the Spirit the Holy, ... "Said (the) Lord to the Lord of me, "Sit out right of me, ..."""].

The 17 dialog words are bottom up. This part of the verse paraphrases Psalm 110:1 which says "The Lord says to you, my Lord." In the time of Jesus, people believed David himself, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote this psalm. The speaker is Jesus who speaks for God, himself, and Lord David. The first Lord is God himself. David refers to this second Lord as "my Lord," who must be a Lord superior to himself. This Lord must be Jesus who is greater than David's son. Since God asks Jesus to sit out right of him, Jesus must share the title of Lord with God. That is what the diagram shows.
