Mk 12:16a ... And they brought (one), ...

Verse 16 has five phrases and 18 words. The 1st phrase has these 3 narrator words, ... oi de ēnegkan [They and brought (it), ...].

The 3 narrator words are bottom up. The two words "oi de" (and~ they) are tangent to the two Pharisees and the two Herodians. The word "ēnegkan" (brought it) is tangent to the image of a denarius carried up in their hypocritical poll tax question asking for a yes or no answer.
