Mk 12:14g ... "should we give or not should we give?"

The 8th phrase has these 4 dialog words, ... dōmen ē mē dōmen ("should we give or not should we give")?

The 4 dialog words are bottom up. Now the Pharisees remove the denarius from Caesar. The question is about "giving a head tax." If Jesus says "don't give" he will break Roman law and appear to be a revolutionary. The Pharisees and Herodians want to snare Jesus with the word "mē" (not).
