The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th phrases have these 9 dialog words ... kai pollous allous, ous men depontes, ous de apoktennontes ("And many others, some indeed skinning, some then killing"). The 9 dialog words are top down. The "farmers" are getting more defiant. The 3 words "ous men depontes" (some indeed skinning) are tangent to the three triangles that have "skinned" the two white equilateral triangles behind the two standing slaves. The last 3 words "ous de apoktennontes" (some then killing) are tangent to the triangle whose sides are tangent to the 2 dead slaves lying on the bottom of the diagram. Every slave sent by the Lord of the vineyard is either skinned, killed, or sent away. These three phrases foreshadow the fate Jesus will receive in chapter 15. 12:5a < Verses > 12:6a |
