Verse 3 has two phrases and 7 dialog words. The 1st phrase has these 4 dialog words ... Kai labontes auton edeiran ["And having seized him they skinned (him), ..."]. The 4 dialog words are top down. The text takes the noun "dero" (skin) and makes it into a verb "edeiran" (skinned) as from the act of whipping or flogging a person to stripe the skin on his back with cuts and welts. The equilateral triangles behind the farmers and the slave can also be seen as a skin. The skin behind the earth farmers is the color of earth. The diagram shows the slave does not have his white triangle behind him because the earth farmers "skinned him." 12:2b < Verses > 12:3b |
