Mk 10:26a ... And they even more were amazed, saying among themselves, ...

Verse 26 has three phrases and 11 words. The first two phrases have these 7 narrator words, ... oi de perissōs ekseplēssonto, legontes pros eautous (They and even more were amazed, saying among themselves, ...).

The 7 narrator words are top down. This new saying from Jesus that its easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a person to get into heaven simply stuns the disciples. The adverb perissōs (all-around, excess) and ekplēsso come from ek (out) and plēssō (to strike down, flatten, astonish). The diagram shows all twelve of the amazed disciples arrayed excessively all around the 7 words filling the central hexagon. Two of the above disciples are more amazed than the other ten. The next diagram will ask if they can be saved.
