Mk 10:31a ... "many yet shall be first ones last ones, ..."

31a11032a2

Verse 31 has 2 phrases of 9 dialog words. The first phrase has these 5 words, ... polloi de esontai prōtoi, eschatoi ("many yet shall be first ones last ones, ...").

Diagram 1: The first 4 words are top down. The two words "esontai prōtoi" (shall be first ones) are tangent to the rectangle holding the 9 disciples. Simon the Stone appeared in verse 28. He is exactly in the same place now as he was back then. Below Simon are John and James, the two Zebedee brothers.

Diagram 2: The entire first phrase of 5 words is also top down. The last word "eschatoi" (last ones) is tangent to the rectangle holding the 9 disciples. The diagram shows the "last ones" have taken the place of Simon, John, and James. The "last ones" have also taken the place of the triangle named "the Stone" which has parted to make way for the 5 words coming down. The last phrase is coming up next.
