Verse 20 has three phrases containing these 3 narrator and 9 dialog words, ... Elegen de hoti, To ek tou anthrōpou ekporeuomenon, ekeino koinoi ton anthrōpon (He was saying yet, ... "That the thing out of the man going out, that commons the man"). The 12 words are top down. Jesus repeats what he said in verse 7:15. This statement is the conclusion of his argument. The following verses and diagrams will restate it in another way for his disciples. The diagram also repeats 7:15 except the men are switched. It shows the circle of the man's face coming out of his mouth. He now becomes transparent. His "commonness" shows through! 7:19c < Verses > 7:21 |
