Verse 27 has two phrases containing 13 narrator words. The first phrase has these 9 words ... akousasa peri tou Iēsou elthousa en tō ochlō opisthen (Having-heard about the Jesus having-come in to the crowd from-behind, ...). The 9 narrator words are clockwise starting bottom left. The 2 first and last words "akousasa opisthen" (having heard from behind) are tangent to the ears of the woman and perfectly describes her position relative to the crowd. The 3 words "Iēsou elthousa en" (Jesus having come in) are tangent to the triangle holding Jesus coming in from the top of the graph. The 3 words "en tō ochlō" (in to the crowd) are tangent to the 8 men "coming in to the green triangles." The diagram shows the woman is possessed by an Unclean Spirit of bleeding. Her bleeding makes her ritually unclean and the Jewish Law (Lev 12:4, 15:19-27) will prohibit her from touching "any Holy Thing" such as Jesus, the "Holy One of God." 5:26c < Verses > 5:27b |
