The 3rd phrase has these 6 narrator words ... Kai egeirousin auton kai legousin autō (And they-wake him and say to-him, ... )

The 6 narrator words are top down. The 2 words "auton, autō" (him, him) are tangent to Jesus. The verbs "egeirousin and legousin" (they wake, say) are third person plural. Therefore, at least two disciples must have roused Jesus and begun talking to him, but now only one disciple has his head above water. Let's see what he has to say for himself.
