The 4th phrase has these 6 narrator words, ... kai alla ploia ēn met autou (and other boats were with him). The 6 narrator words are top down from the upper to the bottom water lines. The 4 words "kai alla ploia ēn" (and other boats were) are tangent to the upper water line tangent to the two "other boats." The words "alla ploia" (other boats) allows the reader to jump to the conclusion that "other boats" (meaning more than two) belong to people in the crowd. Only those readers who can see this diagram can see that only one other boat has joined the two boats of Jesus and his disciples. God the Father's boat is tangent to the disciple's boat, like it was their bow. The circumference of the two small boats (2220 each) are exactly equal to the circumference of the larger disciple's boat (4440). 4:36b < Verses > 4:37a |
