The 2nd and 3rd phrases have these 7 words ... paralambanousin auton, ōs ēn en tō ploiō (beside-they-take him, like he-was in the boat, ...). The 7 narrator words are bottom up. The first 2 words are tangent to the lower sea surface, the last 5 words are tangent to the upper sea surface. The crowd is now gone. The dative singular word "tō ploiō" (the boat) implies Jesus has joined the disciples in their boat. However, the adverb "ōs" (as, like) is a warning flag that not everything is as it seems. Only those readers who can see this diagram can see the little boat of Jesus is tangent to the larger boat of the disciples, like (as if) he was in their boat.
