Verse 36 has four phrases and 17 narrator words. The 1st phrase has these 4 words ... Kai afentes ton ochlon (And leaving the crowd, ...).

The 4 narrator words are top down. The diagram shows Jesus as he leaves the crowd that gathered around him when he was sitting in a boat teaching by the sea (Mk 4:1c). He passes through them to 'the other side' to join his disciples who will get beside him inside another boat large enough to hold them.
