Verse 5 has 2 phrases containing 9 dialog words. The 1st phrase has these 5 words, ... "Hotan en tō kosmō ō, ..." ("When in the world I-am, ..."). The 5 dialog words are top down tangent to the 3 green triangles. The words kosmō, and kosmou (kosmos = world) are both tangent to a green equilateral triangle in the above and in the next diagram. This diagram shows the words of Jesus are tangent to and in the space between the three green triangles of the world. The sign of "light" was transfigured from three of the green equilateral triangles. Jesus is "in the light" and he is tangent to the sign "of the world." The sign of "light" on which he stands is "a work of God," the one who sent him into the world. The next verse will show how Jesus "works the works" to make the blind man see. Take note of where the face of Jesus is located on this diagram! Jn 9:4c < Verses > Jn 9:5b |
