| 16 | 17a 17b | 18 | 19a 19b 19c 19d | 20 | 21 | Jn 6:18 ... The sea also (as) through a great wind blowing was raised up.
Verse 18 has three phrases contained in these 7 narrator words, ... hē te thalassa, anemou megalou pneontos, diegeireto (also ~ the sea, as of wind a great blowing, was thru-roused). The 7 words are top down. The first 3 words hē te thalassa (the also sea) are tangent to the raised sea, the obscured mountain, and the wind which was already raised above the boat. The last 4 words anemou megalou pneontos, diegeireto (as of wind a great blowing, was thru-roused) was tangent to the wind, the mountain, and the "blowing through," meaning Jesus. The previous verse said Jesus had not yet come before them but all during this time Jesus was blowing the anemou megalou (great wind) from the top of the mountain under cover of darkness and distance. The next verse will show the distance. Jn 6:17b < Verses > Jn 6:19a |
