Verse 17 has four phrases and 21 narrator words. The first two phrases containing these 10 narrator words ... Kai embantes eis ploion, ērchonto peran tēs thalasses eis Kafernaoum (And in stepping into a boat, they were going across the sea to Capernaum, ... ). The 10 words are top down. The first 2 words Kai embantes (And in stepping) are tangent to only two of the twelve disciples who were in the top of the mountain and who stepped down into the boat while Jesus stepped up into the top of the mountain. The first 4 words Kai embantes eis ploion (And in stepping into a boat) are tangent to the other 10 disciples who never moved but who were raised up into the boat. The next 4 words ērchonto peran tēs thalasses (they were going across the sea) are tangent to the twelve disciples, the boat, and the bottom sea under the white rectangle, which is across from the top sea.
